New video: West Africa Adolescent Girls Summit
Last month, we told you about the first West Africa Adolescent Girls Summit, which more than 100 young people from Liberia and Sierra Leone attended in April. Now, we’re excited to share a video in which youth participants reflect on what they learned at the summit and their goals related to gender equity, comprehensive sexuality education, and ending gender-based violence. Check out the video and learn more about the summit.
Deepening youth participation at the grassroots
At a recent convening in Serbia, GFC’s partners in the Reducing Violence Against Migrant Children in Southeast Europe initiative took part in a workshop on meaningful youth participation. They discussed their current youth engagement efforts and brainstormed ideas for deepening youth participation in their work supporting migrants and refugees. Read more about the workshop and the participating organizations.
As GFC’s new Program Specialist for Africa and Asia, Otis Kollie helps both regional teams with grantmaking as well as utilizing data and research for learning.
