Peace for People (P4P), a GFC partner in Nepal, is furthering children’s education in a unique way – by prioritizing their wellbeing. The organization recently launched a mindfulness, meditation, and yoga practice for schoolchildren to enhance both their physical health and their emotional wellbeing. As part of GFC’s Partnership to Educate All Kids (PEAK) initiative, which is supported by the LEGO Foundation, P4P is working to change the conventional teaching/learning approach to make education more fun and appealing. Learn more about P4P’s innovative teaching methodologies such as storytelling, sports, and the focus on wellbeing. ⭐️ Over the past few months, GFC and our partners have further explored play-based learning through PEAK convenings across Colombia, India, and Uganda. GFC’s Spark Fund, supported by Avast, is a youth-led fund that invests in youth-led and youth-focused groups tackling important social issues. In June, 28 youth leaders from 14 Spark Fund grassroots organizations – each pursuing different types of activism, including promoting the rights of trans youth, building awareness around food security, and providing mental health support to children – came together in Colombia to share their work. Find out more about their shared passion for activism, the challenges they face, and reflections on the support they need to create social change. Our newest Board members |
