Bringing healing in Ukraine through the arts
Children and young people continue to face the impacts of the war in Ukraine. Harnessing the power of theater and the arts, GFC Spark Fund partner Theatre of Contemporary Dialogue (TCD) is helping children cope with trauma while providing them with safe spaces to learn and play. Read more about how this youth-led organization is using the arts to bring healing amidst the war.
As part of its Ending Violence, Empowering Girls initiative, in April GFC hosted the first West Africa Adolescent Girls Summit in Liberia. The summit explored the issues facing young people in the region and equipped them with advocacy tools to mobilize change. Six months later, we caught up with five young people who participated in the event. Here’s what they had to say.
