Indigenous youth leadership in Chiapas
Migration has been part of Chencho’s life ever since he was born in the Chiapas highlands of Mexico. Joining the Indigenous Migrants Coalition of Chiapas at age 13, however, helped him discover his roots and embrace his identity as an Indigenous young person. Now, he’s raising his voice to inspire other Indigenous youth to build community and ignite social change. Read Chencho’s story of courage and resistance in his own words.
Centering racial justice in grantmaking
As the COVID-19 pandemic and protests for racial justice sweep the world, it’s long past time for philanthropy to take action. Learn more about the Phoenix Fund, its participatory approach, and how it aims to disrupt the philanthropic status quo.
At GFC, we’re in the business of building movements and delivering
life-changing programs to children and youth.
Consider a gift today for a better world where
