Provide emergency relief during COVID-19
Like all of you, our daily lives have changed dramatically as we face the global pandemic caused by COVID-19. In this special message from CEO John Hecklinger, read more what this means for our partners, our supporters, and our team. As always, our partners are adept at providing community-level responses during rapidly evolving crises. GFC has already sent $47,000 to 16 organizations, but the needs and requests for support grow every day. Donate to our emergency relief fund today to meet the needs of children affected by COVID-19.
Standing in solidarity with migrant youth [new videos]
In February, we gathered in Tijuana for “Gender, Childhood, and Youth on the Move,” a transnational conference focused on the region’s migration crisis and its impact on children and youth. In the city with the world’s busiest border crossing, grassroots leaders and youth activists representing more than 75 civil society organizations came together to call for increased protection and justice for young people. Learn more about how we’re showing up for migrant youth in these new videos.
GFC does not support local offices or affiliates of international organizations, or efforts to support or oppose candidates for public office. We do not support evangelism or proselytizing, or programs that require adherence to or conversion to religious doctrine; organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, disability, or sexual orientation; or groups that support violent activities or violate criminal law.
Global Fund for Children (GFC) UK Trust, created in 2006, is a UK registered charity (UK charity number 1119544). We work to generate vital income, create new fundraising opportunities, and raise awareness of the invaluable work of GFC’s grassroots grantees. Our aim is to extend the reach of GFC in the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond.
