Flor’s Visit with Disaster Survivors - Guatemala
When Guatemala’s Fuego volcano erupted in June, our partner Asociación Generando (ASOGEN) immediately got to work, providing emergency shelter, food, and supplies to survivors. Now, several months after this historic disaster, they continue to respond to community needs through a psychosocial recovery program. GFC program officer Flor Gomez Byers recently visited a workshop where children gathered with ASOGEN staff to share their fears and grief—a critical step on the long road to healing.
